Why GK is the Most Important Section
General Knowledge (GK) or General Awareness is arguably the most important section in any competitive exam. It is the only section where you can answer a question in 10โ15 seconds if you know the answer โ no calculation, no reasoning required. A well-prepared GK section can compensate for slower performance in Quantitative Aptitude or Reasoning.
In SSC CGL Tier-1, GK carries 50 marks out of 200 โ that's 25%. In SBI PO Mains, it carries 40 marks. TSPSC exams have GK questions throughout the paper. Investing time in GK preparation gives excellent returns.
โฑ Time Advantage: A well-prepared candidate can complete the entire 25-question GK section in SSC CGL in just 4โ5 minutes, saving 20+ minutes for quantitative aptitude and reasoning.
